F&W Civil Rights Case Receives Press Coverage

In January, Famighetti & Weinick, PLLC blogged about a case we filed in Suffolk County, Supreme Court in which partner, Peter J. Famighetti, obtained an emergency order from the Court.  The lawsuit alleged that the Town of Islip unlawfully removed three antique cars and other valuable personal property from our client’s garage and that the Town was threatening to demolish the client’s detached garage.  The lawsuit alleged these acts were violations of the client’s Constitutional due process rights.  The emergency order prohibited the Town from demolishing the garage.  On April 20, 2016, regional news outlets interviewed Famighetti and our client, Arthur Schnittger.  Subsequently, Newsday, News 12 Long Island, and CBS radio, all reported about the lawsuit.
